The God Of Miracles
“My son, keep My words and treasure up My commandments with you; Keep My commandments and live; keep My teaching as the apple of your eye; Bind them on your fingers; write them on the tablet of your heart.” –Proverbs 7:1-3
What if I can write God’s teachings and revelations on my notebook as well?
Ever since I accepted Jesus Christ as my personal Lord and Savior back in 2010, there has been a deep part of me that longs to know Jesus more and more each day. I have been raised in a Church that takes great delight on the Word of God, therefore, the people always take down notes during sermon and study the Word at home for a deeper and more personal revelation. That’s when I started to develop journaling.
I love writing, and I love sharing. Before I get a hand of the Daily Interact Certified Positive Planner, I had a notebook where my Church notes were written and a separate mini planner for my day to day errands. As a Christian and a government employee, you know that your duties are not just for yourself—you are made for something bigger wherein you have to juggle things all at the same time. Thus, I need an interactive planner. Yes, it is a need, not a want. The Lord wants us to use our time wisely and be productive everyday for “Lazy hands make for poverty, but diligent hands bring wealth.” (Proverbs 10:4)
Before, out of my desperation, there even came a time that I attempted to make my own Christian planner, but failed to do so. It’s a good thing that I saw a random post on Facebook promoting the 2015 Daily Interact Certified Positive Planner, so I bought one at National Bookstore. I can still remember how happy and kilig I was.
It has made a big impact in my 2015 walk with Christ so I shared it to my friends, churchmates and influenced some to buy the following year’s planner.
When 2016 was approaching, my older sister and I decided to buy two 2016 Daily Interact Certified Positive Planner as our Christmas gift to each other. I also gave one for our Youth Pastor before his ordination. I believe he would need it as well. Since then, I have been enjoying my walk with Christ even more.
Before the end of 2015, I was diagnosed of a lung disease. It was contagious, thus, I was forced to be secluded in a room in our house. I was not allowed to go to work, serve nor attend in the Church for about three months. Medicines, weekly and monthly check-ups and tests flooded my system. Those were one of the most depressing stages in my life.
My life has been to serve the public and God, yet God allowed everything to happen for a purpose. Those days maybe painful but it made me realize what my life should be and that is to “Seek first the Kingdom of God above all…” (Matt. 6:33) The Word of the Lord and His promises are what I hold on to, the prayers of my family, friends and the people in the Church made me strong. My body may be weak yet my faith is strong. The people who visited me didn’t even believe that I am sick because I look perfectly fit and happy without my mask on!
One of the things that I have with me during that battle (aside from my Bible of course) is my Daily Interact Certified Positive Planner.
I have kept my daily medicine tracker, daily promises, instructions and the Word of God in it. It became my Bible buddy! Just this October, the fulfilment of God’s promise took place. Just like what they say “Just because your miracle didn’t happen today doesn’t mean it won’t happen tomorrow.”
Praise the God who healeth thee.
There was never a chance that I left my planner and Bible at home. I strongly believe that Christians must always be prepared to share the Gospel, the good news to those who are lost or in need.
Whenever I go to provinces or when it rains, I cover it with a big zip lock plastic with my Bible so that it won’t get wet. Plus, it helps me be reminded of my daily tasks. I have recorded my prayers, devotions, dreams and visions in it.
In Colossians 4:2 says, “Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful”.
Thus, we have to be watchful in our prayer items every time. My planner used to be thin, but now it’s bloated with all those sticky notes and writings. It may look costly, but it is not. It’s just like spending an estimated amount of P1.33 per day for a whole year!
Onee of the features that I love in this planner is the Daily Verse Tracker. Just like the lyrics of the song by Kari Jobe, “the more I seek You, the more I find You; the more I find You, the more I love You”, the only way to know Jesus Christ is by seeking Him through reading the Bible.
Before I received Jesus Christ as my personal Savior, I don’t know anything from the Bible aside from the children stories about Moses and Jonah. I spent my teenage years in the Middle East. As dry as the desert, as so as my spiritual life. Now that I am on my 6th year journey as a Christian, I have made my #spiritualgoal to finish reading the Bible. I called it my #BibleMarathon with the hashtags #seek #find #love.
My best friend and I have our 2016 challenge verse that is found in Jeremiah 33:3 wherein the Lord said, “Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.”
Our ultimate goal is to grow deeper and have a more intimate relationship with our Maker. I also came to realize that I wasted so much time during my teenage years, and so I devoted my remaining years in serving the Lord. Only by God’s grace that’s why promotions in ministries like Media, Worship Team, Intercession and Pulpit came up. I am incapable, but when the Lord calls He will enable.
The Lord is not looking for a golden vessel, He is looking for a vessel that is yielded and willing to be used.
I believe that our God is a God of order and He takes delight to the people who value their time.
The Lord used the Certified Positive to be an instrument for us to love Jesus Christ even more! Experience Him Each Moment! Keep the Lord’s word in the tablet of your heart.
