I have learned exactly what I need in a planner as my life changes. (I accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as my personal Lord and Savior in 2012. My life has changed since then and it’s the greatest decision I have made in my life!) I have become planner picky. I made a commitment to maximize the use of paper planner and that led me to the Daily Interact Certified Positive Planner (DICPP). I got my first planner at Fully Booked Gateway in 2015. It took me hours to choose a planner that suits my needs.
With the demand of my busy life (balancing my work, family, daily responsibilities, ministry, hobbies, social life and events) and prioritizing my walk with Lord Jesus Christ, I really need to manage and plan my day, that is where Daily Certified Positive Planner comes to the rescue aside from the daily grace of God to manage and run my day.
I started using the Daily Interact Certified Positive Planner in 2015. I love planning my day and summarizing it by writing and doodling using a planner. There is really something about writing things down on a planner even in this day and age of technology. I am a little bit slow when it comes to techy stuff.
I have used a lot of planners over the years (including coffee shop planners, girly and trendy planners, free planners from different companies, and so on and so forth). There were times that I wasn’t able to use my planner consistently all throughout the year. Back then, I had a problem prioritizing, planning, and scheduling things.
One of the most important things I have learned is to let God do the heavy lifting including managing my schedule and breaking bad habits.
Jesus said in John 15:5 (NIV), “Apart from me you can do nothing.” We may try to be self-sufficient, but we need to let God supply the grace and ability to do what we need to do. Willpower and determination can get us started, but they’ve been known to quit in the middle and leave us stranded.
The Daily Interact Certified Positive Planner helps me a lot in getting things done and journalizing my life events. The planner has a daily Bible reading plan, expense tracker, yearly spiritual and personal goals, monthly spiritual goals, weekly devotion space, and reflection page at the end of each month. It also has personal testimonies each month on how God transformed people’s lives.
The planner has inspired me to reflect and really appreciate the Word of God in my daily life.
The pages of the planner are full of God’s Word that speaks to me everyday. Additionally, I was able to track my Bible reading through the planner’s Daily Bible Verse Tracker.
The planner was able to keep track of my daily tasks and appointments (professional and personal), store important reminders, and was able to help increase my productivity and organize goals. It also serves as my diary as I used it to record special memories and moments as well as my discipleship journey.
My favorite part of using this planner is when it comes to year-end, I got to reflect on what had happened during the year and tick check marks on my yearly spiritual faith goals and meditate on His plans for my life. I was reminded all the time that my plans will ultimately fail without God.
God’s Word says, “Except the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain who build it…” (Psalm 127:1). We can build without God as our foundation, but like any building without a strong foundation, we will eventually fall.
The planner has really helped me with my walk with Jesus Christ. There is nothing better than going back through my planner to see how the Lord Jesus Christ has transformed me, changed me, revealed His plans for me, and how He has been so faithful to me.
